<p><a title="Oregon Truck Accident" href="http://portlandtribune.com/news/story.php?story_id=132224078002759500">The Portland Tribune reports</a> a semi-truck accident that occurred on Friday, November 25 around 7:06am in Portland, Oregon. According to police, a 26 year-old woman was killed when her Chevy Blazer was hit by a Volvo semi-truck transporting flour. The truck was initially traveling east on Columbia when it hit a Toyota 4Runner. The impact led the truck to cross over into the westbound lanes of Columbia and into the path of the Blazer at Northeast 47nd Avenue.</p>
<p><a title="Florida Truck Accident" href="http://www.floridatoday.com/article/20111127/BREAKINGNEWS/111127002/Titusville-woman-killed-hit-run-tractor-trailer-crash">Florida Today reports</a> a tractor-trailer accident that killed one on Saturday, November 26 around 5:15pm in Volusia County, Florida. According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a motor home traveling on Interstate 95 North was struck by a tractor-trailer as the truck attempted to change lanes. The motor home struck an embankment and a fence before coming to rest near Mile Marker 274, close to the US 1 entrance ramp. A 66 year-old Titusville woman in the motor home was killed. The woman&#8217;s husband was injured. The driver of the tractor-trailer fled the scene of the accident.</p>
<p><a title="Wisconsin Truck Accident" href="http://www.journaltimes.com/news/local/man-killed-in-crash-on-highway/article_5d5c7916-19d3-11e1-8685-001cc4c002e0.html">The Journal Times reports</a> an accident involving a semitrailer on Monday morning, November 28 in Racine County, Wisconsin. A representative of the Wisconsin State Patrol said a car was proceeding on Highway 20 West when a semitrailer on Highway C stopped and then entered Highway 20. The truck and the car collided, killing the driver of the car and his dog.</p>
<p><a title="Washington Truck Accident" href="http://www.spokesman.com/stories/2011/nov/23/pedestrian-dies-after-being-hit-semi/">The Spokesman-Review reports</a> a fatality involving a semi-truck on Wednesday, November 23 at 6:00am in Spokane, Washington. The Washington State Patrol stopped the driver of a semi-truck in the city of Wenatchee after the vehicle struck and killed a pedestrian in Spokane at the intersection of Thor and 2nd streets. Police are investigating whether the incident was a hit-and-run.</p>

<p><a title="Ohio Truck Accident" href="http://www2.nbc4i.com/news/2011/oct/17/6/crash-fuel-spill-closes-us-62-between-i-71-sr-752-ar-788883/">NBC4I.com reports</a> a tractor-trailer accident that occurred in Franklin County, Ohio on Monday, October 17 around 2:00pm. According to investigators, the driver of the tractor-trailer lost control of his vehicle, crossed over the median, struck a sport utility vehicle and ran into a guardrail. The semi truck also leaked oil into a nearby creek. U.S. Route 62 was completely shut down from the Pickaway County line to Stahl Road. The semi truck driver was taken to the hospital in critical condition. The driver of the SUV was taken to the hospital and was listed in stable condition.</p>
<p><a title="Washington Truck Accident" href="http://seattletimes.nwsource.com/html/localnews/2016532058_fatal18m.html">The Seattle Times reports</a> a fatal semi truck accident that occurred before 11:00am on Monday, October 17 near Hyak, Washington. Two people from Boise, Idaho were killed when their SUV was involved in a chain-reaction collision. The accident happened on Snoqualmie Pass at milepost 56 as a semi-truck stopped for slowed traffic. A series of other vehicles behind the first truck slowed or came to a stop when another semi-truck rear-ended an SUV. The force of the initial impact initiated the chain-reaction event. A state patrol officer said semi-truck driver inattention may have been a factor. Several other individuals were taken to the hospital with injuries.</p>
<p><a title="Kansas Truck Accident" href="http://www.fstribune.com/story/1774774.html">The Fort Scott Tribune reports</a> a tractor-trailer accident that injured two people on Saturday, October 15 around 3:30pm in Fort Scott, Kansas. The Kansas Highway Patrol said a Volvo semi-truck ran a traffic light at the intersection of Sixth Street and U.S. Highway 69. The tractor-trailer struck a 1983 Ford truck, injuring a 38 year-old man and a 35 year-old woman. The Volvo truck overturned after coming into contact with the median. The injured parties were taken to Mercy Health Center where the man was listed in stable condition.</p>
<p><a title="Ohio Truck Accident" href="http://www.pal-item.com/article/20111012/NEWS01/110120314">Pal-item.com</a> reports a semi-truck accident that left one injured on Tuesday, October 11 in Ansonia, Ohio. A 66 year-old woman was waiting to turn left onto Brown Road from U.S. 127 when she was rear-ended by a Volvo semi truck. The 38 year-old male driver of the truck was reportedly unable to stop in time to avoid the collision. The woman was airlifted to Miami Valley Hospital and listed in fair condition following the accident.</p>

<p><a title="Ohio Truck Accident" href="http://www.lancastereaglegazette.com/article/20110922/NEWS01/109220323">The Lancaster Eagle Gazette reports</a> a semi truck accident that occurred on Wednesday, September 21 around 9:35am in Lancaster, Ohio. Authorities stated that a semi truck driver ran through a Mill Park Drive stop sign and hit a company van on eastbound Ohio 188. The van came to a rest in a ditch after the accident, and its driver was reportedly unconscious. He was transported to Fairfield Medical Center for treatment. Both vehicles were towed after the collision.</p>
<p><a title="Indiana Truck Accident" href="http://www.fox59.com/news/wxin-serious-accident-closes-portions-of-i465-near-southeastern-ave-20110921,0,4625906.column">Fox 59 reports</a> a semi truck accident that occurred just prior to midnight on Wednesday, September 21 in Indianapolis, Indiana. According to representatives of the Indiana State Police, occupants of a Pontiac car and a Ford pickup were assessing a flat tire on the shoulder of Interstate 465. Shortly thereafter, a Freightliner tractor entered the shoulder near the I-74 interchange and struck the pickup truck, the truck&#8217;s trailer, and its driver. Two people were hurt from accident debris. One person suffered a broken leg and a passenger of the pickup truck was killed. The semi truck driver was cited for deficient air brakes and not maintaining a logbook. The semi was placed out of service after the accident.</p>
<p><a title="Washington Truck Accident" href="http://www.thenewstribune.com/2011/09/22/1834690/3-vehicle-collision-near-benton.html">The News Tribune reports</a> a tow truck accident that occurred on Wednesday, September 21 in Benton City, Washington around 10:15am. According to state troopers, the driver of a 2002 International tow truck rear-ended a 2004 Ford Crown Victoria. The Ford was a pilot car alerting drivers to an oversized semi truck load on Interstate 82. The force of the impact pushed the car under the semi truck&#8217;s trailer, igniting a fire. Witnesses at the scene of the accident were unable to help the driver out of the car and he was killed by the flames.</p>
<p><a title="South Carolina Truck Accident" href="http://www.abcnews4.com/story/15544868/one-killed-in-car-vs-tractor-trailer-accident  ">ABC News 4 reports</a> a tractor-trailer accident that occurred on Friday, September 23 in the Charleston County city of North Charleston, South Carolina around 2:00pm. Representatives of the county coroner&#8217;s office stated that a 50 year-old man was killed after his vehicle was lodged underneath a semi truck. According to police, the tractor-trailer driver turned onto Rivers Avenue from Beaufort Street and did not see an oncoming car. The victim was taken to MUSC hospital where he died.</p>

<p><a title="Ohio Truck Accident" href="http://www.wdtn.com/dpp/news/tanker-truck-smashes-onto-car">WDTN.com reports</a> a tanker truck accident that occurred on Friday, August 12 in the Montgomery County area of Riverside, Ohio. According to police investigators, a truck driver lost control of a rig while attempting a right-hand turn onto Old Troy Pike from Needmore Road. The semi-truck first hit a stopped car and then toppled onto a second vehicle, killing a female driver inside. Though officials are still investigating the accident, they believe speed may have been a factor.</p>
<p><a title="California Truck Accident" href="http://murrieta.patch.com/articles/rta-bus-vehicles-crash-seven-injured">The Murrieta Patch reports</a> an accident involving a bus and a box truck around 7:50am on Wednesday, August 10 in Murrieta, California. The California Highway Patrol said a chain-reaction accident involving multiple vehicles was initiated when a bus rear-ended a box truck on Interstate 15. The box truck then struck a Nissan pickup, and the pickup truck then rear-ended a Chevy SUV. The bus lost control north of Winchester Road and crossed all lanes of traffic, coming to a rest after striking the wall of the median. Cal Fire said seven people were injured, including one listed in critical condition.</p>
<p><a title="Illinois Truck Accident" href="http://www.fox28.com/story/15249732/driver-injured-in-semicar-crash-on-us-6">Fox 28 reports</a> a semi-truck accident that occurred on Thursday morning, August 11 in Elkhart County, Illinois. According to police, a semi-truck driver from Chigago was traveling on US-6 West when traffic slowed for construction around County Road 15. The semi-truck had not slowed in time to stop and swerved into US-6 East, striking a Ford Taurus driven by a male from the town of Marion. He was airlifted to a local hospital after suffering a head laceration.</p>
<p><a title="Washington Truck Accident" href="http://www.kirotv.com/news/28866486/detail.html">KIROTV.com reports</a> a fatal box truck accident that occurred on Monday, August 15 around 3:30am in Lakewood, Washington. According to a spokesperson from the Washington State Patrol, a box truck traveling on Interstate 5 North rear-ended a minivan that had changed lanes and slowed north of state Route 512. The box truck pushed the van into the barrier of the highway. A 24 year-old woman in the back seat of the minivan was killed at the scene of the accident. Two others were transported to a hospital with injuries.</p>

According to the Washington State Department of Transportation, a truck transporting logs on Interstate 90 West lost its rear axle. The driver attempted to pulled over as logs fell partially off of the truck bed, initiating an accident involving eleven other vehicles and a semi-truck. Seven people were injured, including one child listed in critical condition.</p>
<p><a title="Kansas Truck Accident" href="http://www.kake.com/news/headlines/125798198.html">KAKE.com reports</a> a semi-truck accident that occurred on Tuesday, July 19 around 1:00am on the Kansas Turnpike. According to Kansas Highway Patrol authorities, a semi-truck rear ended a SUV that was hauling a second SUV on a trailer. The SUV had reduced speed after the trailer blew a tire. As the crash took place, the semi-truck suffered a ruptured fuel tank, starting a fire. Four occupants of the SUV, all from Wichita, were left with burns requiring medical attention. One was listed in critical condition, while three were listed in fair condition.</p>
<p><a title="Idaho Truck Accident" href="http://newsradio1310.com/magic-valley-accidents-close-roads/">News Radio 1310 reports</a> a semi-truck accident that occurred on Tuesday, July 19 between Hagerman and Buhl, Idaho. Shortly after 3pm, traffic paused on US Highway 30 as a vehicle waited to turn left. A semi-truck was unable to slow in time and rear-ended a vehicle behind the one making the turn. The large truck jackknifed and leaked around 150 gallons of fuel onto the highway near milepost 192. A 76 year-old male was transported to the hospital with injuries.</p>
<p><a title="Illinois Truck Accident" href="http://www.suntimes.com/news/6600436-418/bicyclist-critical-after-being-hit-by-semi-in-northbrook.html">The Chicago Sun-Times reports</a> a semi-trailer accident that occurred on Tuesday, July 19 in Northbrook, Illinois. A 44 year-old male driver of a semi truck struck a 50 year-old female bicyclist at the intersection of Willow and Shermer roads around 10am. The cyclist was transported to Advocate Lutheran General Hospital and listed in critical condition after suffering pain in her right side. According to the Northbrook police department, charges are pending against the driver of the semi-trailer.</p>

<p><a title="Texas Truck Accident" href="http://www.krgv.com/news/local/story/Passengers-Praise-Actions-of-Bus-Driver/3bckB_MTf0yrtGRkg_U2EQ.cspx">KRGV reports</a> a tow truck accident that occurred on Wednesday, May 11 at 9pm in McAllen, Texas. According to police, a bus was traveling on Highway 77 near Victoria when a tow truck pulled out in the path of the bus, injuring 21 people and killing 1. The truck driver was given a citation for failure to yield the right of way.</p>
<p><a title="Delaware Truck Accident" href="http://www.dl-online.com/event/article/id/60372/group/homepage/">DL Online reports</a> an accident involving a semi tractor-trailer rig on Friday, May 13 at 5:43am in Frazee, Delaware. According to DL Online, the driver of a 1993 Ford Tempo slowed for a deer on East Main street when he was rear-ended by a 2003 Peterbilt semi tractor-trailer. The driver of the Tempo was freed from the wreck by the jaws of life and was taken to the hospital for back and neck injuries.</p>
<p><a title="Washington Truck Accident" href="http://seattletimes.nwsource.com/html/localnews/2015010769_i5crash11m.html">The Seattle Times reports</a> a fatal semi-truck accident that happened on Tuesday, May 10 at 3:30am in Arlington, Washington. A Honda Accord with 2 occupants was rear-ended by a semi-truck on Interstate 5 near 172<sup>nd</sup> Street. A 75 year-old female passenger in the Honda was killed and an 87 year-old male driver was airlifted to the hospital with injuries.</p>
<p><a title="Wisconsin Truck Accident" href="http://www.greenbaypressgazette.com/article/20110512/GPG0101/105120674/Video-photos-Cause-found-drivers-identified-12-vehicle-crash-U-S-41-Appleton?odyssey=tab%7Ctopnews%7Cimg%7CGPG-News">The Green Bay Press Gazette reports</a> a 12-vehicle crash including a semi-truck on Wednesday, May 11 in Appleton, Wisconsin. The Wisconsin State Patrol said traffic had slowed on US 41 near Richmond Street for construction when a semi-truck driver failed to stop and hit the vehicles that had slowed and come to a stop. Seven people were injured in total, with one transported by air to the hospital for serious injuries. Traffic between Wisconsin 441 and 47 was closed for over 4 hours.</p>

<p><a title="Washington Truck Accident" href="http://tacoma.komonews.com/news/911/good-samaritans-pull-man-burning-truck-after-crash/632048">Komonews.com reports</a> a semi-truck accident in Tacoma, Washington on Thursday evening, March 31. A driver’s truck broke down on Interstate 5 North close to 56th street when a semi truck struck the vehicle from behind. The collision trapped the first driver in his crushed vehicle, which also lit on fire. Passersby were able to remove the man from the burning truck and he was transported to St. Joseph Medical Center in Tacoma for injuries. The semi-truck trailer was also totaled as a result of the accident.</p>
<p><a title="Utah Truck Accident" href="http://www.kjct8.com/news/27431552/detail.html">KJCT8 reports</a> a tractor-trailer accident that occurred on the evening of Monday, April 4 around 10:00pm in Cisco, Utah. According to the Utah Highway Patrol, a tractor-trailer truck rear-ended a tour bus carrying 25 members of a Mexican musical group. 14 were injured and taken to Grand Junction’s St. Mary’s Hospital. Two critically injured passengers were flown to the hospital by helicopter. Interstate 70 West was closed near the 214 mile marker for several hours.</p>
<p><a title="Indiana Truck Accident" href="http://tristatehomepage.com/fulltext?nxd_id=260896">Tristatehomepage.com reports</a> a collision between an ambulance and a fire truck that occurred on Sunday, April 3 around 2:30pm in the afternoon in Vincennes, Indiana. According to authorities, a fire truck was responding to an apartment fire near 300 Broadway when it and an ambulance collided at Hart and 6th. The fire truck came to a stop on two wheels against a light pole. Four people were taken to the Good Samaritan Hospital to be treated for injuries. At the apartment, an 80-year old man suffered burns and was transported to Wishard Hospital in Indianapolis.</p>
<p><a title="California Truck Accident" href="http://www.sgvtribune.com/news/ci_17762004">The San Gabriel Valley Tribune reports</a> an ambulance fatality in Baldwin Park, California on Saturday, April 2nd around 5am in the morning. A 22-year old man from San Dimas had exited his Toyota Tacoma vehicle close to the center median after a collision with a Nissan Sentra when an ambulance driver arrived on the scene and swerved to avoid the Nissan, striking the San Dimas man instead. He was pronounced dead at the scene.</p>

<p><a title="Michigan truck accident" href="http://www.lansingstatejournal.com/article/20100625/NEWS01/6250331/-1/newshome/Florida-man-woman-suffer-minor-injuries-in-crash-near-Frandor " target="_blank">LSJ.com</a> reports that a semitrailer crashed into a passenger vehicle on Homer Street and Sellers Avenue in Lansing Township, Michigan, crushing the driver&#8217;s side of the vehicle and leaving its two passengers injured. Emergency crews extracted the passengers and they were taken to a local hospital for treatment. The extent of their injuries is not currently known. This truck crash is still under investigation.</p>
<p><a title="Washington truck accident" href="http://www.tri-cityherald.com/2010/06/23/1065422/3-vehicles-involved-in-kennewick.html " target="_blank">Tricityherald.com</a> reports that a semi-truck caused a three-vehicle crash on Highway 395 in Kennewick, Washington when it slammed into the back of a pickup truck that had stopped in a construction zone. There were minor injuries in the truck accident and Washington State Patrol officers stated that the driver of the semi-truck could be cited for following too close and that the accident was caused by driver inattention.</p>

<p><a title="Michigan truck accident" href="http://www.freep.com/article/20100514/NEWS01/100514009/1319/3-injured-after-train-semi-collide " target="_blank">Freep.com</a> reports that a semi-truck stopped at a rail crossing in southwest Detroit, Michigan and was struck by a Norfolk Southern train, injuring the train&#8217;s conductor and assistant as well as the driver of the semi. With 48 crashes and 12 deaths last year, Michigan ranks 13th in the nation for the number of train crossing wrecks despite the efforts of Norfolk Southern&#8217;s &#8220;Operation Lifesaver,&#8221; a program that raises public awareness of rail crossing hazards. Detroit police investigators are working to determine the cause of this truck/train accident.</p>
<p><a title="Michigan truck accident" href="http://dailyme.com/story/2010051300005560/brief-man-killed-semi-trailer-crash-i-75.html " target="_blank">Dailyme.com</a> reports that a semi-tractor trailer traveling south on I-75 near Gibraltar Road in Brownstown Township, Michigan, struck and killed a 56-year-old Flat Rock, Michigan resident who was standing beside his car on the right shoulder of the interstate. Police investigators have ruled out alcohol as a factor in the truck accident.</p>
<p><a title="Texas truck accident" href="http://www.star-telegram.com/2010/04/26/2141960/crash-shuts-down-interstate-30.html " target="_blank">Star-Telegram.com</a> reports that an 18-wheeler hauling produce lost control on Interstate 30 in Arlington, Texas, struck a concrete barrier, then jackknifed causing its trailer to tip over onto an SUV, killing one occupant of the SUV. The victim, a 17-year-old local resident died while receiving treatment at Arlington Memorial Hospital. The driver of the SUV, a 16-year-old who is now in police custody charged with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle for allegedly stealing the SUV and failure to stop and render aid for attempting to flee the accident scene, received non-life-threatening injuries in the crash. Texas Department of Transportation officials are continuing to investigate the cause of this truck accident and state that at this point, &#8220;it is unclear what caused [it.]&#8221;</p>
<p><a title="Washington truck accident" href="http://www.columbian.com/news/2010/may/12/vancouver-woman-involved-semi-truck-collision/" target="_blank">The Columbian</a> reports that a semi-truck failed to stop at a construction zone on Interstate 5 at milepost 88 near Centralia, Washington and struck two passenger vehicles, injuring three people in those cars. Among the injured was the driver of a four-door Cadillac that was totaled in the crash. The state patrol states that the truck accident occurred just before 4 a.m. and they are investigating whether speed played a role in the crash.</p>
<p><a title="North Carolina truck accident" href="http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/nationworld/wghp-story-train-truck-mebane-100513,0,6911416.story" target="_blank">Chicago Tribune.com</a> reports that a semi trailer carrying a backhoe became disabled and stopped at a rail crossing in Mebane, North Carolina where it was struck by an Amtrak passenger train going 70 mph, injuring a least a dozen people. Witnesses reported hearing a &#8220;big boom&#8221; and then seeing debris fly through the air. The train, which connects Raleigh and Charlotte, was carrying 36 passengers at the time of the truck crash. Two passengers were seriously injured and were taken to Duke University Hospital. Those passengers with minor injuries were taken to Alamance Regional where they were treated for cuts and bruises. Gates and lights at the rail crossing were in perfect working order according to a Department of Transportation spokeswoman. Mebane police are investigating.</p>

Michigan State Police report that only minor injuries to the driver of the big rig and a second driver resulted from the crash at the Oakland County Line.</p>
<p><a title="New York truck accident" href="http://rocnow.com/article/local-news/2010100225016 " target="_blank">RocNow</a> reports that a tractor-trailer lost control and rear-ended a vehicle on Route 332 in Farmington, New York, causing a third vehicle to be struck as well. The truck&#8217;s driver reportedly was trying to stop at a traffic light, but failed resulting in minor injuries to one crash victim.</p>

The truck accident occurred at the intersection of Boonville/New Harmony Road and Highway 41 near Scott Township, Indiana. Victims in the SUV required extrication and were transported to a local hospital for treatment.</p>
<p><a title="Washington truck accident" href="http://www.peninsuladailynews.com/article/20100226/NEWS/100229981 " target="_blank">PeninsulaDailyNews.com</a> reports that a parked logging truck rolled and crashed into a home on E. Ninth Street in Port Angeles, Washington on Friday. Port Angeles Police are investigating the truck wreck that sent one resident of the home to the hospital with injuries to his neck.</p>
<p><a title="Louisiana truck accident" href="http://www.houmatoday.com/article/20100227/HURBLOG/100229473?Title=Galliano-man-killed-in-morning-crash " target="_blank">HoumaToday.com</a> reports that a Galliano, Louisiana man was killed Saturday on the Bourg-Larose Highway when the driver of an 18-wheeler fell asleep and his vehicle drove straight into oncoming traffic. The big rig crashed head-on with a pick-up truck, killing its 53-year-old driver. Louisiana State Police troopers at the scene noted that proper rest could have prevented this accident.</p>
