The Indiana Department of Transportation reported that dense fog in the area is causing hazardous travel conditions and may have contributed to the accident. No details on the condition of either driver were available, but U.S. 30 was likely going to remain closed until early afternoon.</p>

The driver of the truck was uninjured, according to the report. Cleanup crews spent several hours cleaning the highway before it reopened.</p>

Responding to driver complaints, Bendix investigated the issue and reported its findings to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration on Jan. 26. The malfunction reportedly causes inconsistent braking performance, and <a href="http://www.bendix.com/en/">Bendix</a> is urging any drivers using an affected vehicle to bring it in for service. The company also reported that it is not aware of circumstances where the faulty valve has led to personal injury.</p>

The <a href="http://independent.com/news/2012/feb/02/truck-driver-fatal-crash-was-high-meth/">Santa Barbara Independent</a> writes that toxicology reports show the driver was actively using the drug, either while driving or during a stop within 30 minutes of accident. Three passengers in the BMW were trapped in their vehicle for over an hour before being rescued. All were hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries.</p>

Ten people, including the driver of the truck and the operator of the train, were sent to the hospital following the crash. The train was en route to Chicago when the accident occurred.</p>

According to <a href="http://www2.wjbf.com/news/2012/feb/01/2/one-person-dead-burke-county-accident-ar-3154389/">WJBF.com</a>, the truck accident occurred at Drone Road and Highway 24 between the towns of Waynesboro and Vidette in eastern Georgia. According to the report, the officer turned left onto Highway 24 and into the path of the oncoming log truck. The accident remains under investigation.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><a href="http://blog.truckaccidents.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/02/Arkansas_KAIT8.jpg"><img class="alignright size-medium wp-image-2056" title="Arkansas_KAIT8" src="http://blog.truckaccidents.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/02/Arkansas_KAIT8-300x225.jpg" alt="" width="300" height="225" align="right" /></a> Three semi-trucks were involved in an accident on the morning of Wednesday, Feb. 1, just outside Reyno in northeast Arkansas, according to <a href="http://www.kait8.com/story/16649699/multiple-18-wheeler-accident-snarls-traffic-for-hours">KAIT.com</a>. In a truck accident believed to be caused by heavy fog that blanketed the area, a grain truck was pulling onto Highway 328 from Highway 67 and was struck by a refrigerated truck driving south on 328. Seconds later, a third truck driving northbound collided with the overturned refrigerated truck. It took emergency crews almost two hours to get the driver of the refrigerated truck from the cab of her vehicle. She was transferred to a nearby medical facility and listed in serious condition. The drivers of the other two vehicles escaped with only minor injuries.</p>
<p><strong>TRUCK ACCIDENT FAST FACT:</strong> According to TruckInfo.net, one person is injured or killed in a <a href="http://www.truckaccidents.com/states/ar">truck accident</a> every 16 minutes.</p>
