York Dispatch reports a hit and run incident involving a tractor-trailer on Thursday, April 28 in Conewago Township, Pennsylvania. Police said a 59 year-old female driver of a Nissan Sentra stopped at a red light at Susquehanna Trail & I-83 Exit 28 when she was struck by a tractor-trailer. The tractor-trailer was initially behind the Sentra and attempted to pass it on the left and turn right. When the collision occurred, the Sentra was dragged along a guide rail. The driver was taken to the hospital to be treated for injuries.

WHPTV.com reports a tractor trailer accident on Friday afternoon, April 29 in Upper Allen Township, Pennsylvania. According to police, a tractor trailer driver failed to notice road work on US 15 and swerved, striking two vehicles and rolling over on top of a pick up truck. Four people were injured. The tractor trailer, hauling juice, turned over between Rosssmoyne Road and South Wesley Drive. All lanes were subsequently closed.

The Patch reports a wreck involving a tractor trailer on Friday, April 29 in Fairfield, Connecticut. According to the fire department, the driver of a Toyota Corrolla was ejected from his car after exiting Interstate 95 and striking a tractor trailer that was parked partially within the off-ramp. The driver was taken to St. Vincent’s Medical Center in Bridgeport for injuries.

ABC27 reports a Snyder’s of Hanover food truck crash that occurred on Sunday, May 1 at 1:20pm in Heidlersburg, Pennsylvania. Police said 149 vehicles were participating in a convoy at a Make A Wish Foundation event when the Snyder’s truck rear-ended the vehicle in front of it. The initial incident resulted in five injuries and a 4-vehicle crash. Two minors were transported to Gettysburg Hospital with serious injuries, while a 35 year-old woman was also taken there after suffering injuries to her head and hands.

MiddletownJournal.com reports that five people were taken to a hospital after a dump truck caused a three-vehicle chain-reaction crash on Thursday, September 23. The truck wreck, which happened at Verity Parkway and Access Road 3 in Middletown, Ohio, started when a pickup slowed to turn right, and the minivan behind it also braked. The dump truck, however, did not slacken its speed — estimated at 60-65 mph in a 50 mph zone. It slammed into the minivan, crossed the median, crashed through a guardrail, and then landed in a ravine on its side. The driver suffered head and back injuries and was hospitalized, as were two passengers from the pickup and two from the minivan.

News.Cincinnati.com reports that a dump truck backed over a construction worker and killed him Friday night, September 24, in Fairfield Township, Ohio. The worker was standing in the construction zone (on Ohio 4, near Hamilton-Mason Road), when the dump truck rolled over him.

MyNews4.com reports that a motorcyclist slammed into a dump truck and died after the truck blew through a stop sign on Monday, September 20. The fatal truck accident happened on Highway 95A near Penrose Lane, north of Yerington, Nevada.

SunCoastPasCo.tbo.com reports that a dump truck driver caused a four-vehicle pileup when he rear-ended and then landed on top of a pickup stopped for traffic. The impact pushed the pickup into a Mustang and the Mustang into a Saturn, and the people in those cars sustained injuries, but the pickup driver died. This truck wreck happened Tuesday, September 21, on Ridge Road eastbound near Galen Wilson Boulevard (at the Chasco schools complex) in New Port Richey, Florida.

SiskiyouDaily.com reports that a Yreka Transit Mix dump truck lost control and crashed into Yreka Machine Works on Friday, September 24, in Yreka, California. A firefighter who happened to witness the truck accident said he saw the vehicle “shoot across” Oberlin Road from Fairlane Road, become airborne, and then land again before hitting the building. One worker in the building was hospitalized with minor injuries; the truck driver sustained major injuries. Another person in the shop was hospitalized for what the firefighter termed a “medical emergency not related to trauma from the accident.”

StamfordAdvocate.com reports that a garbage truck hit a bicyclist early on Saturday, September 25, in Stamford, Connecticut. The cyclist, who was not wearing a helmet, fell off his bike and suffered a life-threatening head injury. According to the police: “The garbage truck was going to turn left into the driveway of Stamford Hospital to make a pickup, and the bicyclist was traveling eastbound on West Broad Street, and they collided in the driveway junction.” The cyclist was in critical condition after emergency surgery.

Mlive.com reports that the driver of a tractor-semitrailer lost control of his vehicle while traveling on U.S. 131 near Zerbe Road in Constantine Township, Michigan, crossed the middle line, drove into opposing traffic and struck an oncoming pickup truck. Police reports indicate that the driver of the pickup was taken to Three Rivers Hospital where he was treated for his injuries from the truck crash.

WBIR.com reports that an 80-year-old Knoxville, Tennessee man died in an accident on Western Avenue in Knoxville when his vehicle slid under the bed of a tractor trailer carrying a full load of pipes. The jaws of life were used to extract the victim from the wreckage. The Knoxville Police Department is investigating the crash.

Highlands Today reports that a 74-year-old Avon Park, Florida man died when a semitrailer turned into his path on County Road 640, causing the man’s VW Bug to run under the truck’s trailer. The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating whether alcohol was a factor in the truck crash.

OregonLive.com reports that the driver of a semi-trailer was cited for careless driving after he was traveling too fast to negotiate a turn on U.S. 101 near Gold Beach, Oregon, causing his rig to tip over and crash into a passenger car. Oregon State Police report that the driver was hauling a container full of garbage at the time of the crash. The injured motorist was treated at a local hospital for what appear to have been minor injuries.

BurlingtonFreePress.com reports that two people lost their lives in an accident on I-89 near Montpelier, Vermont when the driver of a milk tanker lost control of his vehicle, which then jackknifed and was struck by a passenger car and a second milk tanker. The victims were the driver of the second milk tanker and a passenger in the car. According to Vermont State Police, the truck driver who initiated the accident escaped with minor injuries.

Newstimes.com of Middlebury, Connecticut reports that the driver of a loaded propane tanker was cited for traveling too fast for conditions and driving with defective equipment after he crashed into a small truck on I-84 near Middlebury. Police report that the propane tanker, which was carrying 1,500 gallons of propane, had a damaged right rear wheel. One victim was treated for back injuries following the accident.
