KPAX.com reports that a semi truck lost control, jumped a median, and hit a Subaru head-on near Wallace, Idaho, on Thursday, January 6.  The Subaru driver was hospitalized; no word on the two children who were in the car with her during the truck wreck. The big rig cab caught fire but was quickly contained. State Police say the eastbound semi was going too fast for the slushy conditions on I-90.

KZTV10.com reports that a food delivery truck hit a woman early Thursday, January 6, in Corpus Christi, Texas. When the truck hit her from behind, the woman was wearing dark clothing and walking in the road near the Village on the Green subdivision, where she lived. The driver said he simply didn’t see her. She died at a local hospital.

MiamiHerald.com reports that a married couple and their dog died Thursday, January 6, after a tractor-trailer hit their car and dragged it 760 feet on I-95 in Palm Bay, Florida.  The truck had not slowed down as it approached traffic in a construction zone. In all, four vehicles were caught in this truck wreck; another couple was trapped in a burning car and eventually removed and taken to a hospital.

WEAU.com reports that a flatbed wrecker struck a private truck at the intersection of Highway 53 and County Road V near Haugen, Wisconsin, around 5:30pm on Thursday, January 6. The smaller truck was turning north onto the highway when the truck accident happened. Both drivers sustained minor injuries, but a passenger in the smaller vehicle was hospitalized with major injuries.

KWTX.com reports that a fuel tanker truck hit a passenger car and the median, then burst into flames on I-30 East, just west of downtown Dallas, Texas, on Friday, January 7. The truck driver and two people from the car were hospitalized but it is believed that no one was seriously injured. The blast was heard miles away, and the flames were also visible for miles. Police were not sure why the truck lost control.

HeraldOnline.com reports that a big rig ran a red light in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, and hit two vehicles before driving off the road and hitting a parked SUV on Friday, January 7. A local woman, 74, was driving through the intersection of Hubbard Road and Highway 521 when the northbound logging truck hit her car; she was airlifted to a hospital. Three people in the other moving car were also hospitalized and later released after the truck accident.

InsideNova.com reports that a commercial truck hit a tractor-trailer early Saturday, January 8, on snowy I-95 near the rest area at Dale City, Virginia. That truck wreck led to a pileup that sent 10 people to local hospitals and damaged at least 52 vehicles, including many semis and other trucks.
