JSOnline.com reports that two people died and four were injured when a tractor-trailer crashed into several vehicles traveling south on U.S. Highway 41 in Wayne, Wisconsin. The sheriff’s department said the big-rig driver failed to stop for traffic that had slowed due to an earlier accident. The 18-wheeler first hit an SUV, killing the driver and pushing the SUV into a minivan, injuring the driver. The semi then knocked another SUV through the median into the northbound lane, killing a passenger and seriously injuring the driver. Finally, the semi struck a FedEx van; both vehicles crossed the median, and the van driver was seriously injured. Highway 41 was closed from State Highway 33 to State Highway 28 for the rest of the day. This fatal truck accident happened on Wednesday, December 15, at 10 a.m.

SLTrib.com reports that a 21-year-old woman died after a tractor-trailer crashed into three vehicles on Interstate 15 near 7800 South in Salt Lake City, Utah. The woman was a passenger in a car hit by the semi, which also struck two pickup trucks. The highway patrol said the truck wreck happened after the northbound big-rig driver, who sustained critical injuries, swerved to avoid a vehicle when traffic began slowing. This fatal truck accident occurred on Thursday, December 16, at 1:25 p.m.

JCOnline.com reports that the driver of an 18-wheeler caused another tractor-trailer driver’s death by stopping in the southbound lane of Interstate 65 after missing his exit. Police said the stopped driver put his semi in reverse, and the other big-rig driver struck the semi and died. The surviving truck driver was arrested on suspicion of involuntary manslaughter, and a passenger with him was being held for obstruction of justice. This fatal truck accident happened near Remington, Indiana, on Thursday, December 16.
